Hurricane Laura

Attention Shadow Creek Ranch Resident(s):

According to the National Hurricane Center, Hurricane Laura is expected to make landfall as a major hurricane when it strikes near the Louisiana-Texas border late Wednesday or early Thursday.

The City of Pearland activated the Emergency Operations Center on Tuesday, August 25 at 8 p.m. to actively monitor the progress of Hurricane Laura in the Gulf of Mexico.

The objective of this team is to preserve life and property in the Pearland area by keeping residents informed, maintaining continuity of essential City services, and to be prepared to respond to emergency needs during potential severe weather.

As weather conditions progress, the City and County will respond appropriately and will inform the community through official City channels. Follow the City of Pearland social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter and sign up for our emergency alert system to stay up-to-date. The most current tropical weather outlook can be found on the National Hurricane Center website and the local forecast can be found on the National Weather Services Houston-Galveston office website.

Please consult the official Brazoria County Hurricane & Disaster Guide and use the Family Disaster Checklist as guide for preparing your disaster kit.

Make sure you have an evacuation plan in case the storm is worse than expected.

If you need emergency assistance call 911, for non-emergency assistance call 281.997.4100.

We wish you and your family(ies) all to stay safe and do well through the hurricane!

Sincerely,

Shadow Creek Ranch Board of Directors
